Approval after graduation
What does the toggle control?
| Action | Approval off after graduation | Approval kept after graduation |
|---|---|---|
| Buy during launch | Wallet and platform signatures | Wallet and platform signatures |
| Buy after graduation | Wallet signature | Wallet and platform signatures |
| Sell through the market | Holder signature | Holder signature |
| Ordinary wallet transfers after graduation | Allowed | Blocked by the active transfer hook |
What changes on chain?
With approval off, the final curve buy removes the mint’s transfer-hook program and transfer-hook authority. Token transfers then no longer call the approval hook, and that authority cannot restore it.
With approval kept on, the hook remains active. Transfers must match the market’s temporary authorization for an actual buy or sell. Token accounts used for restricted trading require immutable ownership, preventing an account-owner reassignment from bypassing that rule.
Can the creator switch later?
The choice is written into the market at creation and has no setter in the current program. The creator cannot flip it after launch. The market programs themselves remain subject to their upgrade authority.
Open transfers make third-party pools possible, but an external DEX or aggregator must support the token and route. Graduation does not automatically create such a pool or listing.
