Token identity and metadata
Is the symbol a unique identifier?
No. Names and symbols can be reused. The mint address identifies the token; the market address identifies its Bundless trading account. They are different addresses. The creator address records the wallet that launched the market.
Compare the mint address when checking an explorer, wallet balance, or external listing. Matching artwork or a symbol does not prove that two listings represent the same token.
Which information is verified on chain?
The app keeps a display record for rich metadata and older tokens. A working on-chain market and an available IPFS image are separate dependencies; a broken gateway does not itself remove token balances.
