Buying and selling
What am I entering?
SOL supports nine decimal places and tokens support six. The quote shows the estimated output, fee, and price impact. The signed transaction includes a minimum output; it does not lock the quoted reserves.
| Side | Input | Output |
|---|---|---|
| Buy | Maximum SOL spend, including the platform fee | Tokens received after moving along the curve or pool |
| Sell | Exact token amount to sell | SOL received after the platform fee |
Who signs the trade?
Your wallet signs every trade. A launch buy, or a buy with approval kept after graduation, also needs the platform signature. Sells and open graduated buys skip the approval endpoint.
Trading is atomic: if the minimum output, signature, balance, or account checks fail, token and SOL movements in that transaction roll back. Solana can still charge a network transaction fee for a failed transaction.
Why was a trade rejected?
| Reason | What it means |
|---|---|
| Minimum output not met | Reserves moved between the quote and execution. Review a fresh quote. |
| Insufficient SOL liquidity | A sale cannot be paid from real pool reserves; virtual SOL is not spendable. |
| Amount too small | After fee and integer rounding, the trade would return zero. |
| Approval unavailable or denied | The buy requires the platform co-signature and did not obtain it. |
| Expired preparation or blockhash | The original transaction is no longer eligible to be signed or submitted. Resolve its status before preparing another. |
