Create a token

When can I launch?

The app shows Launching soon while new launches are paused. During that period, the launch form and new launch metadata uploads are unavailable. Existing markets remain available to browse and trade.

Launch availability is a platform service setting, separate from each token’s buy approval policy. It does not change an existing token’s supply, curve, or transfer rules.

What can a creator choose?

What is created on chain?

The launch transaction creates the Token-2022 mint, market account, token vault, and transfer-hook account list. It mints the supply into the vault and removes mint authority. New web launches also put the name, symbol, and IPFS metadata URI in the mint’s Token-2022 metadata extension.

The creator pays the network fee and account rent. There is no separate flat launch fee in the current program. A developer buy pays the normal trading fee.

Which settings can I change later?

Metadata and the graduation approval setting are fixed at creation. The current program has no instruction to edit the approval flag, supply, or curve parameters. The new mint’s metadata update authority and metadata-pointer authority are absent.

The IPFS upload happens before the on-chain launch. If you cancel signing or the launch fails, uploaded files can remain public even though no token was created.
